Most disturbing tweet of the month... from Mount Everest? /img/sadtweet.png

A few weeks ago Catharine Smith published her weekly Top Tweets list at Huffington Post.

Personally, I found the first one, shown here, a bit depressing: “first tweet from the top of the world, thanks to the awesome XYZ handset!”. I know perfectly well that to practice mountaineering (or any other activity, really) at that level, full time, you need sponsors and you need (within certain limits) to make them happy. Still, to me mountains mean (among many other things) concentration and focus and peace and quiet… Frankly, the idea of never being safe from cellphone hassles, not even on the top of Mount Everest, doesn’t sound so great and thrilling to me. What about you?
